Seaside Stripes

Spring is rapidly approaching. YAY! It’s my favorite season, I love its colors and trends. The femininity of spring captivates me and I never want to let go. Haha.

Today’s post I’m highlighting one of the season’s major stripe trends. While visiting Spring/Summer 2017 New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, I noticed stripes were going to be a huge trend this year. The fun part is that we can be super adventurous with it. As you know, there are all sorts of stripes and we can always incorporate them in our everyday spring look. How fun!

It’s almost beach season, so let’s take out those seaside stripes to play. My look is very casual and has a “beachy” feel to it.  These pants are very light and I’m obsessed with its soft colors. It allows me to mix and match it with any fun tops in my closet. That’s always a plus! The more versatile the piece, the higher chance I will buy it. I like items that I can wear multiple times in a different style.

Because my staple look is usually neutral outfits with bold lipsticks, I decided to embrace it again this time. The pop of color is my usual go-to. Besides adding the lipstick, I added one of my favorite bags. Yep, my GiGi New York bag. Don’t you love the color of this bag? The “surprise effect” adds a fun vibe to the look, in my opinion.

This cold shoulder top is so cute! The bow on the sleeves adds the feminine touch I was talking about. Besides the stripes, I noticed many designers had bows on their designs. So cute! Of course, it’s spring so we have to reveal our shoulders! We’ve been hiding them for quite a while, so it’s much needed. I’m sure if you are in a cold area, you are probably saying “yeaahhh.”

Both cold shoulders and off-the-shoulder tops are usually regulars during this season. I always welcome them with open arms. It gets super hot in Florida, so this style is perfect. Are you jumping on this stripe trend too? Let me know below!

Tip: If you decide to get these pants, make sure to buy a size down. It stretches quickly!

Sizing reference: I’m 5’2. I wear 7 in shoes. XS/S in tops and dresses. 25 in jeans.

As usual, alway embrace your unique style!

Love,

Lucielle
