Introducing tools into my skincare routine

When it comes to trying new beauty products, I am there! It’s so much fun and a thrill finding out if this new item will work out or not. Do you feel the same way?

This time I gave Clarisonic Mia 1 a try. I’ve seen the hype over the years, but never jumped on the wagon until recently. So glad I did! It definitely steps up my beauty routine game. I really feel like my face is all clean after I’m done. The best part is that my face feels like a baby. This brush is great to achieve a cleaner and more radiant skin. No joke here! I’m all about that radiance.

How does it work?

The bristles of a Clarisonic cleansing brush head move back and forth, gently flexing the skin and flushing water and cleanser into pores. This sonic cleansing process removes the dirt, oil and debris that ages your skin and causes breakouts. One of my fears was that it might be too harsh for my skin. Little did I know – Clarisonic is gentle enough for twice-daily use, even on the most sensitive skin.

The price ($129 USD) can also be a factor for many of us not giving it a try. We might say, “I got hands for that” or we tend to focus on the actual product versus the tools. This brush cleans skin six times better than hands alone. Wow!

Acne Brush Head

Clarisonic has several brushes for this tool. I’ve been using the Acne Cleansing Brush Head which was very appropriate at the moment (more below). Haha. As mentioned, the bristles were gentle. I never felt like it was harsh in any way. That was one of my first concerns. I do like the idea of trying multiple brushes now. Our skin/mood changes, which is why we should have options. For extra love, they have a Deep Pore Brush Head. Based on our skin, we can come up with the best interchangeable routine. Introducing different tools has become fun. The next one I’m trying is their Radiance Brush Head. Give me all that “glowy-ness.”

Pore & Blemish Gel Cleanser ($18 USD)

My package came with this cleanser. Timing was perfect because it was right before that time of the month. If you are like me, our skin needs extra love during those days. This cleanser is designed for those with sensitive, acne-prone skin. It targets excess oil, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. The scent is very light and pleasant as well as the texture. So far, so good. If my skin doesn’t like a product, it reacts immediately. For that reason, I’m giving it a thumbs up.

Looking to up your beauty game, here’s an option!

If you guys have any other suggestions of products/tools I should give a try, please comment below. I discovered one of my favorite lip balms thanks to one of my readers. Feel free to let me know what you are currently loving. Share the love!
